This figural cookie jar was made in the 1950's. It is unmarked and thus the maker is unknown. The cookie jar depicts a puppy and the lid is a hat on the dog's head.

The cookie jar is nicely detailed and whimsically adorned with a hat and leaves for ears and a cute little smile. The puppy cookie jar measures about 8 inches tall and is about 5 inches wide at the base.

The back side of the cookie jar is textured and the puppy's tail sits appropriately at the bottom. The jar is lightly crazed consistent with the age of the piece. There are no chips or cracks and it displays beautifully.
