This beautiful dinnerware set was produced in the 1950's by Homer Laughlin. The Ferndale pattern is delicately covered in pink and yellow roses on background of lovely floral sprays with a wide ivory border and a gold band.
This set consists of 62 pieces: 8 dinner plates, 7 square salad plates, 8 bread and butter plates, 7 rim soup bowls, 8 dessert bowls, 10 footed cups, 10 saucers, a covered sugar, a creamer, an oval serving bowl and a lugged bowl.
There are 7 complete 7 piece place settings. Pieces are available on EBay and Replacements if you want to make more place settings.
There are no chips or cracks in any of the pieces. There are some very light utensil marks on some of the pieces.
Homer Laughlin China Company, makers of the popular Fiesta brand dishware, first opened pottery-firing kilns in East Liverpool, Ohio, in 1874.
The company, one of the few remaining American dish manufacturers still in operation, produces dinnerware for restaurants and the home and hosts visitor tours twice every weekday.
