1950's Colclough Bone China Tea Cups and Saucers - Pair
These beautiful tea cups and saucers were made in the 1950's by Colclough. These cups and saucers are hand decorated, and I have put these cups and saucers together because they are a great example of the subtle differences that can occur in the hand decoration.
The pattern for these cups and saucers features a large spray of roses and rose buds set on a faint country scene. One cup and saucer has a white and red rose while the second set
the roses are both red.
Both sets of cups and saucers have nicely scalloped rims trimmed in gold. Each cup has a pretty cloud at the inside top that matches the cloud on the saucer.
This pair of cups and saucers are marked Colclough, Bone China, Made in England. This backstamp was used in the early 1950's prior to Colclough's merger with Ridgway.
